Getting Started
Want to add one of our Cocker Spaniels to your family? Your interest is greatly appreciated! I strive to get to know you the best I can from this point forward, and we start by having you complete our puppy questionnaire. Once I have read the application, I will contact you via email and discuss any questions or concerns on our part, availability of puppies and address any specific concerns you may have. We can talk by phone if preferred, but I'll admit with 3 kids, it's sometimes hard to talk by phone without being distracted! I'm sure those with young kids understand!! If all goes well, and we do not have a puppy you are interested in at that time we will place you on our waiting list. I will keep you up to date on planned breeding's, actual breeding dates and I will contact you when the pups are born.
Pricing and payment
Regardless of sex or color, our puppies are $1200. We require a $200. non refundable deposit to hold your puppy until they are 8 weeks old.
Please consider all aspects of bringing a new puppy into your home before you place a deposit. By placing a deposit, you are making a serious commitment to give a permanent and loving home to one of our puppies. Once a deposit is made it is nonrefundable. The deposit insures we don't turn away an excellent home for a puppy that someone doesn't take.
The deposit does come off of the purchase price of the puppy. We can accept a personal check or postal money order for a deposit, but we require cash at pick up. I can not hold a puppy without a deposit. Once I receive the deposit, the puppy will be removed from our advertising and marked Reserved on our website! We also reserve the right to return any deposit at any time and not place a puppy if we become uncomfortable with the situation.

Registration
All our puppies are sold as pets only with limited AKC registration. We highly recommend spaying or neutering your new puppy around 8 months old. Spaying and neutering prevents ovarian, cervical, uterine and prostrate and testicular cancer as well as keeping a dog's mind healthier from the lack of all those "raging" hormones. He or she is a happier, healthier family member.
It is very rare that we sell a puppy with full registration.
If you are interested in one of our puppies for showing or breeding purposes, please contact us and it will have to be discussed privately. We are very cautious about people seeking one of our dogs/puppies for breeding purposes (as so many breeding dogs are mistreated and over-bred). After interviewing you (via phone and email) and ideally meeting you we feel confident that your intentions are honorable, full registration can be offered with select puppies at our discretion for an additional fee

BRINGING A PUPPY HOME
Our puppies are available to go to their new home at 8 weeks of age. I am aware that some breeders allow puppies to leave at 6 weeks, but puppies learn valuable life lessons from their mother and litter-mates during this time. Lessons that you're unable to teach your puppy. I know how hard it is to wait but please understand we want what is best for our babies! Once the deposit is placed we will send weekly pictures and updates!
Puppies will be current on vaccinations, de-worming and microchipped.
Tails have been docked by our vet at 3 days old. They receive a thorough, Veterinary exam before going home and a copy of the vet report and health records will be in the puppy folder. The puppies will also be groomed several times starting at 3 or 4 weeks old.
We feed & recommend Purina Pro Plan Puppy. They will be sent home with a sample of food, and a puppy starter kit. A well loved "stinky toy" will be sent home too!
Families are welcome to come visit with their puppy while in our care (by appointment only) at our discretion up until the time they are able to go starting around 7 weeks of age. This is not always possible especially if we have a new litter. We must do everything we can to keep our dogs and puppies safe.

We struggled with whether to ship puppies for a long time. We have shipped one in the past and I know it was more stressful for me than the puppy! I worried until I knew he was safe and sound in the arms of his new family! I have always preferred to meet new owners and have never had a problem driving to meet up. It's a lot easier to say goodbye to our babies after meeting their new owners. Pick up day is always so bittersweet, but seeing the excitement and love on new owners faces and happy puppies are all experiences we do not like to miss!
We do realize that driving is not possible for many people and we don't want to pass up a perfect home. You are welcome to fly to Nashville TN and we will be more than happy to meet you at the airport. This is often cheaper than shipping a puppy as cargo and it can fly in cabin with you. This is a lot less stressful for the puppy and it's not stuck in a crate as long. While waiting for your flight to arrive or during layovers you can take them out to potty, play and get a drink.
